Lagging Selection Guide


  1. The rubber compound is determined by the application requirements. As an example, an underground pulley requires a Fire Retardant Compound.
  2. The tread design and thickness is determined by the factors such as: the size of the pulley; the position of the pulley in the conveyor system; the Conveyor Belt tensions; exposure to mud, stones and moisture. Other factors can include ease-of-installation and product preferences by the mine and installer.
  3. Where multiple options exist for an application: Rubber Backed Ceramic Products have a longer service life and the ease of spares keeping is important to consider.
